We do all of our duct cleaning ourselves. We do not use sub-contractors.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take?

Typically an average house can take anywhere from one to three hours from the time of arrival. It depends on if duct cleaning has been completed on the house before, ease of access to the furnace, driveway access and the number of registers you have throughout the house. We also provide extra services like using a disinfectant spray that may prolong the process.

Do they need to come inside my house?

Yes. After arrival, the duct cleaning technicians will need to hook the vacuum hose up to the furnace. They will then require access to the rest of the home.

Do they need access to every room?

Yes. After the duct truck vacuum system is hooked up to the HVAC system, the technicians will cover every supply side vent, and then use compressed air to blow air through the system in the direction of the Vacuum hose that is tied into the main HVAC trunk.

What payment methods do you take?

We have a portable debit card machine, that accepts payment from debit, Visa and Mastercard. As always, we also take cash. We also offer e-transfer.

Can I clean my dryer vent by myself?

We wouldn’t recommend this. If you are not familiar with how to clean a dryer vent you could damage the duct work or plug the ductwork inadvertently.

What should I expect?

When our technicians arrive at your home, we will show up in our Total Aire Care duct cleaning truck, which is clearly marked with our logo. From there, you can expect us to work hard to get our vacuum system hooked up and running in a timely manner to your HVAC system. We always strive to be efficient, courteous and informative in every way.

How do I prepare?

The best way to prepare is to move all furniture away from the walls that is covering a heat supply vent. Also, it is critical that there is clear access to your furnace, and if anything is stored in the furnace room, please ensure it is moved to another location. We also require enough space in your driveway to park our truck.

Why do I see dust?

Occasionally, blowback will appear and we may have missed some upon clean up. We do our best to ensure we don’t leave any mess behind.

I got my dryer vent cleaned. Can I use my dryer?

We recommend not using your dryer for 24 hours. It gives time for any remnants to settle. Otherwise, a distinct burning smell might occur. Do not be alarmed about this. It will pass.

Do you use Duct Cleaning Sub Contractors?

No. We do all of our duct cleaning in house.
